|
Equivalent standard :uhoh: . What does their website say?
|
Nice wages :D
"Contract engineers are on $60 per hour, 50 hours per week, & 2 days off every week!" |
Let me correct you Wrenchy,ADA Engineers on a 8x4 rotation basis are only getting 3 day off every rotation that means that for every 56 day work their is 3 days rest, and not 1 day off every 2 weeks...but thats just the beginning i have seen LAE doing Fitters work because their are short on man power, this includes washing helos under a 45 degree hot sun in the afternoon and after that they still have to go do their 25h insps :eek::eek:
If people knew the reallity of ADA. |
So enlighten us…What's the reality?

Not good (been there, done that) - VFR :ugh:

"Canuck Mafia"
Dear Spinwing,
I'm looking to transfer from military flying to civilian and I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible before making the jump. I just read the complete tread from the start on ADA. I notice some improvements throughout but it seems management remains an issue. This said, a good advice that keeps coming back is not to expect anything and make the best of it for the pay and vacation. One comment you made that raised an eyebrow is about the "Canuck Mafia". Would you please care to explain what you mean? Thanks Silver Dart |
Hi Waver,
I am assuming that you are not getting the usual end of rotation day off then? that would make it 4 off! one every 2 weeks. It's obvious to me that you are not in favour, If you were in favour you would get the 4 days off per rotation or maybe even a day off every week, like some engineers there! LAE's having to work, washing heli's, 25Hour Inspections, it's part of your job at ADA. If you don't like it, you can always follow all the other LAE's that have left and get a job elsewhere. |
LAE????
I quote from your previous post:
"contracting Eng´s to fill Supervisores slots instead of promoting Eng´s that have been at ADA for more than 10 years" They have been at ADA for 10+ years, this should indicate to you the calibre of engineer that they have left there. |
In favour !!!. So to be treated equally you have to be in favour. No wonder there's a mass exedious of good engineers if and entitlement is based on popularity. That attitude is pathetic and I for one would not care to work beside someone with an attitude like that.
|
Mmmmm ...
Well there you go gentleman ... that IS the reality of working with/at ADA ... if you cant cope with that then don't accept the 'shilling' ..... Cheers :E |
Would ya all say that the western coast of A is much better…?:E

Anyone know if they are still spraying over there?
|
Anyone know what the daily routine is there for pilots? How many hours they fly a year? Schedule and pay? Also, what the requirements are to get hired?
Does anyone have any information on the pilot sides of things here? IE, schedule, pay, daily routine? |
Are there any current pilots or pilots that have recently worked there be interested in sharing some info about ADA with me, please pm .
Thanks DWH |
Been lurking around these threads for a while, finally decided to post something.
I was wondering what the prospects are of ADA hiring an engineer with only 212 experience and ratings these days, no 412 or 139. Also what are they currently paying their engineers. Looked high and low and haven't found much about salary. |
As the first CEO of Abu Dhabi Helicopters Ltd I was delighted to see a recent press report on ADA achieving over 1 million flight hours with various Bell Helicopter Textron helicopters.
Congratulations to all concerned. |
One Million flight hours an achivement of a life time...Congrates to ADA.
Now lets talk about what is really happening,ADA fixed-wing took quite a blow, layed off a dozen of Engineers and fitters...Rotary-wing is suffering once again with sortage of LAE and fitters thus Overburdening the rest or the personell, which could cause serious safety issues, heard that management is concedering hiring contractors for a short period to fill in the vacant slots left by the Engineers that left, instead of investing in permanent Engineers, as you can see the new Management isnt as effective as most were waiting for. |
Waver, that tallies with what I heard about ADA picking up some of the recently redundant CHC Global team.
