TFS
Prior to this season they were in the GOM, and they are going back as soon as the tour season is over. We'll probably get some new ones for the next tour season. Ned, No tours on the Mendenhall for us, we land on the Taku and the Norris glaciers. It's funny though, almost every flight someone asks if we are going to see the Mendenhall. |

Floats with fins??
The 5ooE on fixed floats looks like an interesting helo. Are the vertical (diagonal) fins mounted on the rear of the floats to aid forward flight or when in the drink?
I assume that because there is no plate mounted on the bottom of the tail stinger that they are used to keep the TR out of the water in auto's, etc. Anyone help? |
Posted on other threads.

Fascinating: it looks as if no two of the horizontal stabs have the same layout in those S-92 shots
