TFS

Prior to this season they were in the GOM, and they are going back as soon as the tour season is over. We'll probably get some new ones for the next tour season.

Ned,

No tours on the Mendenhall for us, we land on the Taku and the Norris glaciers. It's funny though, almost every flight someone asks if we are going to see the Mendenhall.

Again, we are still looking for good hi res photos to be used as calendar backgrounds, please contact me via e mail [email protected] if you have something to be used. I need at least 1280 x 800 for widescreen, and 1024 x 768 for standard.

Thanks!

Capt. Hollywood

Tell me you transported the helo by truck into that Sanctuary Cove HLS :ouch:

Or.... is the photo not doing the HLS justice?

Capt Hollywood 1st August 2006 08:54

Victor two,

Yes we saw the odd croc at Channel Point! Caught a few fish too!

Oogle,

No truck, flew it in there. The area is bigger than it looks in the photo but not by much! Didn't just fly in of course, had a good look around from ground level first.

CYHeli 3rd August 2006 08:02

Floats with fins??

The 5ooE on fixed floats looks like an interesting helo. Are the vertical (diagonal) fins mounted on the rear of the floats to aid forward flight or when in the drink?

I assume that because there is no plate mounted on the bottom of the tail stinger that they are used to keep the TR out of the water in auto's, etc.
Anyone help?
