Just a few pics of a very patriotic EC130 I shot in Vegas. Gorgeous looking machine.

January Calender

Been away over Christmas and New year and had no access to a PC.

Was there a January Calender posted?

Also really like the new look. Adds a splash of fresh paint to the site!:ok:

Why on Heaven's Earth would you be looking at page 3? You gone to modeling now and are looking for you piccies?

Now, where are my other Kings of Smut!? :p

As for modelling? Well, modesty forbids but I did succeed in putting together a rather nice model of a Chinook! :8

Cheers

500D's with Vee tails like on the 500C or OH-6A's? Four bladed heads or five bladed heads?

SASless,

Those are obviously OH-6 or H5ooC models, not T-tail and definiate four blades. :)

500 C question.

was wondering what the triangular frames that appear to be coming out of the rear doors with the red blob on the end.

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

I guess we can discount that it is for mounting the outrigger wheels when they are first learning to fly ........ :)

octavo 8th January 2006 09:34

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

Those are army helos, could the frames on the sides be for hanging stuff on, like guns maybe? Just a guess. They don't look strong enough for anything more powerful.

Does anyone know how much cash one would have to dish out to buy one of those birds?

twinstar_ca 8th January 2006 15:27

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

i would say likely they are weapons mounts as well... ;)

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

I have heard that the price will be between $100K to $300K.

They can be inspected at Karup airport.

PM me for contact info if anyone is interested.

I´m guessing the thingies in the backdoor are used for SWAT team insertion!

I have just received info that the frames in the backdoor of the H-500 is used for "fast rope rappeling"

what kind of heli is that?kiowa?

Aesir 8th January 2006 23:39

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

I think that is a B206 JetRanger. I donīt think you can get a Kiowa with high skids and Flitesteps? Or what??

imabell 9th January 2006 00:52

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

it's a kiowa as it has flat screens and side windows and not a wrap around single screen. the one i flew had high skids and flight steps.

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

I would say its one of the US law enforcement agencies who have got their hands on a surplus OH58.

bladebanger 9th January 2006 03:46

Re: 'ROTORHEADS AROUND THE WORLD' : Photo Gallery

Imabell. It is a Kiowa. Best way to tell is te rear cross tube. On the 206 it is actually up in the airframe a little. Kiowa there is not cutout for it to go threw. Talk to you soon G

To All,

Take it from someone who used to work in a cubicle...our offices may be small but the views are tremendous. Even the worst day flying is still better than the best day I had being an accountant :D

I have remarked earlier in this thread about the fantastic quality of these pictures, the latest by Eldon is superb, showing the actions of the rawness of our natural world,

Jolly well done to all of you some brilliant shots taken on the spur of the moment without any sort of preplanning or lighting.

Flying Squirell,
If I mighet be so bold to ask, Why do you have two slip and turn indicators and why are the wings not agreeing with the AH, genuine question, not cheek !

(Not Squirrel) The Schweizer 300CBi usually flies left skid low. The ball on attitude indicator is showing the proper reading, the ball on the TC will always show out of trim.
