407, I think you should post them pics. :ok: I heard that there was a company doing heli-skiing in the Himilayas with 407's. At a mere 5,000 (metres that is). ;) :D :ok:

Cheers

Not your father's Huey

These are my baby pictures. Worked on her for the last 2+ years. She's not your average 412: Higher power PT6s with FADEC, Full glass cockpit, NVG, 4-Axis, full SAR, etc.

Yeah, that's FLIR on the copilot's inboard display. You can also show it on the pilot's side, or mix FLIR, Radar, or EGPWS with nav overlays. (The RDR-1600 search/weather radar, TCAS, and EGPWS is fully provisioned but not installed on this one.) She's also about 200lb lighter than an equivalently equiped 412EP.

Nice thing about the country, you can land anywhere, and not just to pick up wounded.

Autorotate

It's hard to believe it was four years ago (end of last month) that Mark was killed. Time passes quickly, but I still miss him.
Here's a picture of the Yak 3 we shared.

CLH,

You can't link to a photo on your hard drive (at least, not so that anyone else can view it!), so if you want to e mail it to me, I'll host it and send you the url to link.

;)

Autorotate 25th October 2003 03:37

John - You will have to forgive CLH as he is very busy chasing the women in Hong Kong and also he is a Queenslander. I rest my case ;)

Well now....3B3....it took you long enough! I see you are up to your usual high standards of professional performance. At one time I used to know what all those dials and things were about....rarely get to see them anymore except when browsing the web it seems.

Welcome to the world of Pprune....we will look forward to your participation.

Why don't you post some of the nurse pic's you are so proud of?:ok:

Old pictures of helis round here . . .

I got these old pictures from friend they were taken between 1957 and 1970's

As you can see the NOTAR concept is not so new, this helicopter came to Mexico in 1957 to prospect for construction of powerlines, and it was a NOTAR design, anbody know what it is?
