Hi Flying Lawyer....
Well I also was just in West Virginia last weekend. Rode the Blue Ridge Parkway on the bike and did a checkout for a rafting company on the Gauley and New Rivers near Fayetteville.
Couldn't help but think about the "flying under bridges" thread while looking at the New River Bridge...not that it would be much of a challenge. ;)

The pictures on this thread have made this FW pilot want to learn to fly helicopters!

This was my one helicopter experience to date.

A very, very welcome sight:

Those bloody crows!....and the farmers cat :E

Geez, I miss those sunday avo's!!

IHL 12th October 2003 11:36

What is tragic in Bloodycrows first picture is where the 76 has landed; Hwy 17, "The Trans Canada", Canada's Super Highway, the only Highway linking Western Canada to Eastern Canada.

I realize I'm ranting, but you would think we could do better than a single lane Highway as our MAJOR AUTOROUTE!

Flying Lawyer 12th October 2003 17:17

Nothing to do with helicopters, but one of my favourites nonetheless.

The photograph shows a friend of mine flying his Spitfire Mk IX (MH434) during the filming of a television series some years ago.

IHL,

Its not that it's single lane (Just like OZ and NZ) but that the speed limit is 90 kph everywhere!!!
Soooooo easy to get nailed for a ticket. Specially around Winnipeg :*
Still managed to get from Winnipeg International to Kenora airport in 2hrs flat... :E

Flying Lawyer - Mark and I were good friends and I shot him in the P-40 just before he left Kiwiland and went back to the UK, about a month before he was killed in the Buchon.
