HEC with a 206? How do you validate that with your risk assessment? Oh yeah - it’s the home of the free! Stopped doing that about 20 years ago.

It is done all day long here, the accidents I know of involving powerline HEC had nothing to do with the aircraft type and would not have been prevented by using twins. No-one is asking you to do it.

There was an Offshore gig in Romania a while ago... They initially wanted to start off with 155s, then I heard they changed their minds and intended to buy 139s instead..
Maybe they realized how expensive it would be, and have now turned back to utilizing 155s? Would be interested in it as well.. |

Creative and intellectual effort Responsible as an aircraft captain for safe operation of DAATCL aircraft in accordance with the Operations Manual and Operating Procedures. Make autonomous decisions and review plans accordingly to ensure the safety of the aircraft in the event of changing circumstances during a task. Discuss with the Duty Manager or HEMS SP if necessary. Emotional effort Occasional exposure to traumatic circumstances or frequent exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances. Physical skills and effort The post requires developed physical skills to fulfil duties where there is a specific requirement for specialist ‘manual tasks’, co-ordination and accuracy. Frequent requirement to exert light physical effort during shift with occasional significant physical effort.
