Back in my day, responses were very slow, if closing was only on 16th, you are in for a bit of a wait
|
From what I have read they int the email they should already be starting phase 2 of the selection, I know the final interviews aren't until the 10th of September though.

Invites for the 10th have been issued..... or not as the case may be. Good luck to those that were successful.
|
Good luck, been a while since I did it, but if i can help anyone out...
|
Are they contacting only the successful candidates or are they sending out both invites and rejections?
|
Just supposing somebody was offered a place on the zero to hero scheme, does anybody know what sort of salary would be paid?
It's my guess there wouldn't be salary during training, but after graduating, what would the first officer pay be during the bonded period and would there be a deduction from pay to recoup some of the training costs? |
Prepare to have your pants pulled down...
|
Sky Sports - yes there will be a reduced salary for the sponsored individuals. From what I heard previously it was ~35-40k. I would imagine bonding period would be in the region of 5-6 years. Upon completion of that the salary is returned to normal in line with seniority, LZ |
If that’s the case then that’s not a pants down deal. |
Say you got paid 40k for 5 years, you would lose £110k in salary alone, forgetting pension contributions, I bet you dont start on 40k either
Usually a scheme like this you forgo the annual bonuses your colleagues will collect also |

Helicrazy - Everything you write seems to be negative. Below is your quote from another thread earlier this week
The biggest crisis in this industry is the one being ignored - the lack of pilots, lack of new pilots entering the industry Yet, here is a company actually addressing your concerns, but you still don't seem to think that £40,000 is enough for a junior co-pilot fresh out of training. I would say that there are plenty of onshore charter work or Flying Instructors who would love this start into the industry. Maybe 30% of Bristow pilots have come through similar sponsored HP courses and they all seem happy enough with the deal?? |

Helicrazi, how much money do you think it costs to get a EASA cpl(h), I.R, MCC, and a type rating on a 189 or 92? It’s certainly a lot more than £110k. I would have happily taken a £40k salary for that level of certification, who wouldn’t apart from helicrazi? |
I speak from experience.
nah not negative, just watched the industry fall apart through greedy oil companies and it's very disheartening. Why would anyone join the industry with no job prospects. That's proven due the number of cpls and IR's issued over the last few years. Good on bristow for doing a sponsorship, I applaud them and what they are doing to bring people in. If I had my time again I would sign for a sponsorship again. The salary sacrifice is worth the job guarantee. I think I've been misunderstood, I'm championing payrises, things turning around, oil companies getting their karma when they cant crew change and new blood in the industry! |

Correct, alot more than 110, but we dont count the 189 or 92 type rating do we, as thars provided by the operator. I'm maybe out of date with my numbers but cpl and ir around 120k? |
