Tribute
As a regular visitor to the heliport at the SECC over the years I would like to add my condolences to the friends and families of the crew of Police 51.
A tragic and very sad day for all of us in the helicopter emergency services family... BC. |

My thoughts and condolences are with all the deceased's families.
A very tragic accident. |
Tragic news. Farewell, Swampy. You were a great character, a true professional and a firm friend in trying times. Condolences to J from OGB and S.
|
Please accept my most sincere condolences to the families of those lost.
|
May all who have perished rest in peace.

Flew (and socialised!) with Dave when we both served at DHFS, and both lived in Wem. Top bloke, and as already mentioned above a very safe pair of hands. Raised a glass or three to you last night fella...
Condolences to all of those touched by this tragic event. |
My sincere condolences to all those touched by this tragic accident.
My thoughts are with you. Dave |
My sincere condolences to all involved.
With this morning quote, from Safety Analysis and Research Department, European Aviation Safety Agency and EHEST working group sources... Most sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the helicopter crash in Glasgow and to the people of Scotland. This tragic event reminds us of the noble cause pursued by the EHEST, the IHST, and many other organisations in the world. Safety is never a given, we must try harder! |
My thoughts and condolences go to all those affected by this tragedy- the pub goers and their loved ones, the Police observers and their families, the pilot and his family and the lucky ones who survived.
Was privileged to briefly get to know Dave by doing my IR(H) at same time as him at EGBJ in 2010. Rest in peace Dave. |
Fly to the angels
Do not land God has taken hold your hand Many flights you have made Memories will never fade Take to the skies a final time Far above the clouds to climb Do not stop The skies deep blue Keep on climbing You must do You’ve landed now In heaven’s field Your journey’s done You’ve found such peace On this sweet flight Goodbye, God bless Sleep tight. |
Suitable tribute....
Yes, candles, flowers, prayers.
But how about, in a hall of suitable size, the music so sadly interrupted, to play again for the people of Glasgow to remember everyone involved, and to raise funds for the medevac helicopter services.... Other bands may also like to join in. |
RIP to the brothers and sisters we have lost. My thoughts are with the families of all involved both from the air, and those on the ground.
|
Dave was never swampy to me, he was always known as 'Hotlips' after a spectacular fail trying to drink his umpteenth flaming Drambuie. As a newly graduated officer at EFTS Swinderby, this was the first step on his path to becoming a legend. Rest in Peace Dave, you will be missed by us all
|
God speed Swampy , see you on the other side brother.
My condolences to all the ASU crew's families. Rest easy. |
May they rest in peace.
