Not being able to sleep I go down stairs and put on Sky news to see this shocking event. Having worked with this unit I'm just praying....Truly shocking. Fingers crossed!
lets leave the findings to the experts please.

My thoughts are with my former colleagues and crew of the Strathclyde / Police Scotland Air Support Unit,
their families and friends, and of those at the Pub who have been affected by this tragic incident.

A sad day indeed.

Sadly by the look of the wreckage and some media reports the crew never made it. Condolences to all concerned and another sad chapter in police aviation in my beloved country.
Regards
MF

I don't pray, but my thoughts are with all, especially the three colleagues who were just doing a job like no other.

As a serving officer, a big advocate of air support and one to count a number of observers and XO's amongst my friends, this has stunned me. It has crossed two close families - those of aviation, and the police service. For something like this to have happened three times in the same city just beggars belief.

Thoughts and prayers are with all involved, and furthermore, those who will step up into the 135's and other types across the world tonight, ready to do their duty on our behalf.
