Brantly Questions
I've just purchased a Brantly B2B and am in the process of putting it back in the air. I'd love to hear from any of the guys here who've flown or operated them over the years. Also I'd like to build up a set of spares so if anyone has some parts sitting on the shelf I might be interested in buying them. Also I heard a while back that there was one in Australia or NZ for sale cheap, possibly in pieces, anyone know anything about that? Thanks.

There is or was a Brantly floating around Ardmore Airfield in New Zealand. I had also heard that there was someone importing them and rebuilding them in NZ as well. Maybe Thames airfield, south of Ardmore.
Hope that helps Hughesy |
The chap who runs the Helicopter Museum in Weston super Mare U.K. used to own one 6 years back I don't know if he still does though.
I am pretty sure he would be able to help you quite a bit. |
Brantly B@.
Hi Fling-Wing,
Have a look at the second April edition of Trade-a-Plane, Page 101, Section 13630, Helicopter Misc: in the second column there is a pink colored ad for Brantly parts. The guys name is Ramon C.A.Jueguen, his fax is 54-11-4258-1134 so I am guessing South America?? H:O e has an E-mail [email protected] Regards. |

Great post R2
I enjoyed the very descriptive post on flying the B2B. I would like to nominate you to replace Ron Bower. His pathetic article "Flying the EC145" was worthless.

nomination
Nomination done. I just emailed the editor at R&W and sent them the link to this thread as an example of how much more detail should be included in an article entitled "Flying the.......whatever"
Maybe you can fly an EC145 someday... Clayton A. |
Brantly B2B
Anyone else out there flown one of these?
How do they rate? against Robbo Hiller Enstrom ? |
There's only half a dozen in the UK and only two type rating instructors!
You wouldn't want to do a rotors running refuel and the tail-rotor authority has ...er... a lack of authority!! I do know a group who own one with whom I could put you in touch if you are thinking of getting one. Cheers Whirls |
