The GXP works really well at high altitude, I wouldn't trade a 125 for a GXP purely for cabin configuration (and price), 407 is horrible, not versatile no flat floor, if bell would spend some time redesigning it like the 429 it would be much better, maybe they eventually will with the 505 just like they did with the 206..

Hey MS....thanks for Your feedback! I'll be able to give my own opinion soon ;) So You reckon a GXP could land on Everest? :confused:

I think why not but I have no idea to be honest.

I don’t think we’ll ever know for sure ;)

Really? I was going to say, 2 more inches to the left required :}
The real alignment test will come when he starts driving those squirellee 412's!

I don't know, SHP are almost same with the H125 (they landed with a B3 on top) plus the 4 blades makes it more stable and manoeuvrable :confused: HP for sure has a better shot at it

Morning Mitch......it's not just about the power? The 350 has 3 x LongBox blades where the 407 has 4 x R44 blades (equivalent sizing) :eek: in the rarefied atmosphere above 20,000' big corded blades give more bite, much more! :bored: Certainly more blades equals more stability with the greater control power, but I'm not sure how that'll help for a straight in approach to a pinnacle landing onto Sagarmatha @ 29,028' :8

Game to try a 212 with big bitey blade thingees up that high VF? Give you are sporting chance with upgraded -DF burners in it. I volunteer to stay behind and look after crumpet whilst awaiting your findings! Needless to say, take your time, no hurry to get the big beautiful bird back to crumpetville base camp.

Personally I cannot say because I only fly the bus but pilots that fly both say it’s better that the 125 at high altitude.
Better performance with equal weight and conditions, tested in Simikot and Khumbu

evil7 20th Oct 2018 12:47

I think the Bell must be better than the Airbus because there are so many more 407’s flying in VF’s environment than 350’s🧐😉

Well MS....that must be right then...Simikot is barely a sneeze compared to high camps & the Khumba is a massive area encompassing the highest few Mountains in the WORLD so that's a tad vague ole Mate :eek:
