Hey there Old Farang...... it's the safer way in soft Snow :D get into that habit in all Snow landings, then if the heals do sink, the Tail won't end up making a Slushy :p

Ok, fair enough. I have never had to operate in that white stuff, but some times in bull dust, which leads to an immediate "brown out" on lift off. So, do you have that problem with the snow, or is the stuff not powdery? :ok:

G'day Old Farang......we get brown-outs - big time :yuk: white-outs from powdered snow also happens, but depends on the condition of the snow (fresh powder or slushy or crusty) :{ Brown-outs are easier to manage cause You can usually peg Your eyeballs to a rock through the chin bubble for a reference ;) powdered snow is more tricky; throw out a backpack on a flypast to help avoid flat-line effect & drive the toes in before You loose visual, need some head wind to keep ahead of the fluff :bored: anyways no-fun :}
