No replies

I rang and got put through to Patrick and left a message on his voice mail.
I have also emailed. No replies yet, but then again I am looking for only a co-jo spot as I don't have enought hours for twin command.
But, you have to start somewhere.

Venator 3rd Feb 2009 06:39

Think you'll find copilot's are recruited from within the company, then they'll be looking to promote those guys.As for 'direct entry' command jobs, you would need significant 212 or 412 command, plus considerable PNG & Longline time etc.Cheers

rwm. You'll find that Jacksons Airport is a long way from Mt Hagen! :}

rwm 4th Feb 2009 16:36

Nothomemuch, your right about that, but Pt.Moresby is were the check is printed, and is also here you get to leave PNG from.

rwm 4th Feb 2009 16:38

Thanks for the link Night Beetle. I got a reply almost as soon as I sent them an email. But boy does the tax take a big hit to the take home pay.

NotHomeMuch 6th Feb 2009 01:43

rwm. You may find that the cheques are printed in Oz and that Moresby is not the only way to leave or arrive in PNG. Try doing a little homework :ok:

rwm 6th Feb 2009 15:01

don't need to. I have done all the homework I need to make up my mind. Besides I've been there, and I've done that.

Hevilift Solomons

Hear two BK-117 shipped from Heliworks NZ to Solomon Islands for OZ Government Job does that mean Heavilift have been given their marching orders.:E

HevI_214 11th Feb 2009 09:48

Adhoc what would you know of Hevilift ? as for the Solomon's Hevilift will be taking over in force

Night Beetle 11th Feb 2009 19:19

Is Digi-cell looking further into the Pacific to spread their telco networks?

Maybe the BK's are there for that.

Stubble 4th Mar 2009 06:24

I heard today that the 2 Heliwork BK's will be staying in the Solomons and that Hevilift will be finishing up in April.

hevi214 5th Mar 2009 07:13

All True

Hey Stubble, it's all true :ugh: management once again have had there head up there ass, they have done things with this company that normal people would be ashamed of and haven't given a hoot to the drivers making them the money, they couldn't lie straight in bed. If they happen to read this forum I hope they have a good look at themselves, I am now leaving for bigger and better things, but there is now other guys left with nothing looking for work, I wouldn't work for them again. As for Heliwork, wish them well :D, as for hevilift it's a slowly sinking ship and suggest all that can swim to do so quickly :E

fadecdegraded 5th Mar 2009 21:25

You have hit the nail on the head hevi214 nothing more to add to that.

gulliBell 5th Mar 2009 21:51

Like there's been nothing much more to ad since the JV undertaking 4 years ago, it's just been more and more of the same, and it will remain that way. And with the present economic climate it shouldn't be difficult for HL to find the pilots it needs to do what it needs to do, so there's absolutely no motivation for them to change the way things are.

Mate, what has happened since your last post?

Been given the "arse" by the sound of things.

True things are hotting up in HIR PDL up to their old tricks again, poor showing in Timor.Should stick to fighting fires and rest for the remainder of the year . But they may have to front up now with the change of government(all deals are off apparently)

As for HL management I guess they are trying to keep everyone happy, their employees are the lowest paid on the block, fact.
New tax scheme( crazy) to stay the same you pay the PNG government way more in tax.
Well done Colin

Whats going on

I'd like to work for HV one day but have they just lost more work and people. AFAP site jobs advert for Sol Isl. is this a trend?

bob22 18th Mar 2009 05:44

Well ?

anyone know what's happening with HL

PPRuNeUser0212 18th Mar 2009 07:48

bob22,
as far as the Sols goes, RAMSI contract up for grabs and tender selection is in progress and supposedly to be announced in May.

geeup 4th Apr 2009 23:49

So what is the G O ??
Has Hevilift still got the contract in the Solomons or has it been lost?
If not are the pilots heading back to PNG?

heliduck 5th Apr 2009 04:10

To quote nightbeetle - "their employees are the lowest paid on the block, fact."

If Hevilift is the lowest payers on the block who is the highest?
