Did Hevilift just get the Timor contract back?

212bushman 14th Jan 2009 20:33

Is that right "geeup" ! What would make you say that ? What's going on over there in Timor , come on let us know what you know or is this a geeup so to speak. :)

baffler15 16th Jan 2009 03:28

Anyone with PNG time should be well placed whoever wins the contract as I'm to understand that PNG time will be a requirement for Captains.
Any idea of the specific number/s of PNG time that will be required?

The Baffler :ok:

gulliBell 16th Jan 2009 13:29

12 months.

geeup 19th Jan 2009 09:06

Heard on the grapevine the current contractor 212 making metal and a 412 made a forced landing. It is third hand but hey ;)

gulliBell 19th Jan 2009 10:28

Is this something new, or are you referring to the 212 main tx change after forced landing about a month ago? And about the 412, again is this something new, or are you referring to the heavy landing following lift link failure (in Australia) several months ago? This is either old news, or they are really having a bad run on luck.

geeup 26th Jan 2009 03:16

Yeah as I said it was all third hand. Hevilift are not back in Timor.
Once again third hand but did a P2 operator just ferry 2 BKs to HIR? If so what are they doing?

geeup 29th Jan 2009 22:36

Did the IFR CP just get the boot ???

toppingcheque 30th Jan 2009 02:44

Yep!! & so did another

blade root 30th Jan 2009 02:51

I heard that the "other" may have been a little higher up the tree...

geeup 30th Jan 2009 22:21

Higher up the tree??? Who is higher then the IFR CP?

pd2 31st Jan 2009 04:05

Is that the new CP that started about four or five months ago??

Anybody know why he left?

fadecdegraded 31st Jan 2009 20:26

Oh, do tell....

gulliBell 1st Feb 2009 06:19

JS and JW both got necked? heard they were mixing it with the wrong crowd. They didn't last long, did either even get through the perfect person process with CAA? There used to be a time when you needed considerable PNG experience to be appointed to such senior positions, it was a legal requirement, but not now under the new rules. It's still the wild west out there, and it always will be.

I hear Hevy Lift PNG is looking for crews, both flight and maintenance. I hear that the rotation is 3/3 or 4/4. What is the salary, and future prospects looking like? What bases, and what kind of benifits? Is local tax included, or do I need to deduct the local tax from the salary?

Night Beetle 2nd Feb 2009 21:40

First you need to spell the name of the company correctly.
Apply and see.

rwm 3rd Feb 2009 01:14

Thanks for pointing out my mistake Night Beetle. You must have had a bad day to point out simple little spelling mistakes. If you have nothing to add, then you could have saved yourself the energy and not replied.

Sorry once again for the mistake. I won't let my fingers type so fast next time.

HEVI-LIFT PNG LTD. JACKSONS AIRPORT MT HAGEN, PAPUA NEW GUINEA

So is there anyone willing to give a ball park figure to the questions about salary, benifits, rotation ect? And please info about both flying positions and maintenance positions.

R.OCKAPE 3rd Feb 2009 02:18

you might be better off contacting Hevilift directly yourself for that information

benefits
