Merry Christmas to you all.

Vfrpilotpb, I think the Icelandic Santa is the only one crazy enough to fly around in the Exec

I heard that The CAA cought him on his sleigh with an out of date airworthiness certificate a few days ago.

May you all enjoy a happy 2003.

Heli-Ice.

Two old ladies on a bus in Dublin in the middle of the holiday season with bags and bags of shopping at their feet pass by a billboard that proclaims in big red letters 'Put Christ back into Christmas!'. One looks at the other and says 'Jaysus! They're draggin' religion into everything these days!'

Happy Christmas!!!

Chopperdr,

JPG's need to be hosted on a site, then a link made to the db. If you don't have a site, e mail them and I'll host them for you.

Helicopters Australia with tanks on B3's, whatever next How much can they put in the tanks?

There is a large company in NSW called Heli-Aust, so don't confuse the two............

...bolting tanks to a B3? That doesn't make much sense?? the internal GW is so low already? Having an underslung load with a B3, and using that exceptionally high external GW makes the B3 compete with some Meduim helicopters.

sirs: the tank capacity is 1100L, the tanks are considered external load. the b3/ simplex combination is by far the leader in light single capability and will compete head on with most medium twins. the company was helicopters australia, a division of helicopters new zealand.

Question "the tank capacity is 1100L"

The tank capacity is 1100L, but what can the B3 actually use? The Simplex tank for a 117 is 1200lt (IIRC), but I've yet to find a BK that can actually lift that much

Sorry to be going slightly OT

350b3 simplex tank

sorry to get way off topic, tried to send a private message but to no avail. to answer your question, there is in fact a 1200L tank which i helped install on a b3 in spain. under the right conditions, low temp, fuel, pilot only you can get a full tank before reaching first excedence with the b3, amazing helicopter it is.

seasons greetings from tadcaster north yorkshire

try my resipe for a cake

AN ALTERNATIVE WHISKY CHRISTMAS CAKE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

1 CUP WATER 1TSP SALT JUICE OF 1 LEMON
1 CUP SUGAR 1 TSP BAKING SODA 4 LARGE EGGS
2 CUPS DRIED FRUIT 1 CUP BROWN SUGAR 8 OZ NUTS
1 BOTTLE OF FINEST WHISKY

Method

Sample the whisky to check for quality. Take a large bowl, check the whisky again (to be sure it is still of the highest quality). Pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon sugar and beat again. Make sure the whisky is still of. Cry another cup. Turn of the mixerer.
Break two eggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the dried fruit.
Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck on the beaterers, pry it off with a screwdriver. Check the whisky for tonsisticity. Sift two cups of salt or something (it’s not too important at this stage)
Check the whisky. Sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Spoon of sugar or whatever is left. Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees.
Don’t forget to beat off the turner. Give the bowl to the dog. Check the whisky and go to bed.
