A Royal Navy helicopter has crashed onto the deck of a naval ship off the Dorset coast.
Three people are reported to have been injured when the Sea King helicopter hit the Fleet Auxilliary vessel Argus - a naval training vessel.

It is not know whether the casualties are from the helicopter or the ship.

The incident happened 15 miles west of Portland Bill at about 1300 GMT on Wednesday.

The three injured people have been airlifted to Dorset County Hospital but their condition is not yet known.

The helicopter was a Sea King from 848 Squadron based at the Royal Naval Air Station at Yeovilton in Somerset.

The Royal Navy said the accident happened during a training operation.
