212 midair, pilots ok.

Just got word another 212 went down around edson , sounds like the pilot is okay .a cessna hit its landing gear apparently. I think all fire ships in Alberta have ADSB now.

lelebebbel, anything?

According to the article student pilot and an instructor. Not sure how you don't see that red tail boom on the 212. Damage looks easily repairable

Being a 212 is irrelevant…but these people are very lucky indeed…! Is there not a TFR or equivalent in Canada? I never did a lot of fire work there and it has been a long time…maybe this took place outside a posted TFR (or equivalent)…?

Unfortunately ADS-B is still not mandatory here, even on fires. I'd say less than 50% of the machines working fires have it.

I don't know anything about this incident.
TFRs are only put in around the immediate vicinity of fires or fire complexes, so even if this machine was on the way to- or from a fire, it could've still been outside of any restricted airspace.

Time to change underwear and then buy a lottery ticket.

So lucky it was not much worse!
