212 midair, pilots ok.
Just got word another 212 went down around edson , sounds like the pilot is okay .a cessna hit its landing gear apparently. I think all fire ships in Alberta have ADSB now.
lelebebbel, anything? https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/no-one-h...nton-1.6957140 https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....0ecbe4627.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....54801d128.jpeg |

According to the article student pilot and an instructor. Not sure how you don't see that red tail boom on the 212. Damage looks easily repairable

Being a 212 is irrelevant…but these people are very lucky indeed…! Is there not a TFR or equivalent in Canada? I never did a lot of fire work there and it has been a long time…maybe this took place outside a posted TFR (or equivalent)…?

lelebebbel, anything? https://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/no-one-h...nton-1.6957140 I don't know anything about this incident. TFRs are only put in around the immediate vicinity of fires or fire complexes, so even if this machine was on the way to- or from a fire, it could've still been outside of any restricted airspace. |
Time to change underwear and then buy a lottery ticket.
So lucky it was not much worse! |
