R44 In The North West?

Morning fellow PRUNE-ers, have tried searching the forums this morning to little avail, but wanted to find out if anyone here knows of an R44 which is available for self-fly to a PPL around the Shropshire/Cheshire border?

There are a couple at schools etc in Liverpool, Manchester & Nottingham - but these are all a bit of a journey, seems a little pointless going this far to get the machine, then flying in the opposite direction.

Previously I have used machines in the Stafford area, one from a school and one from a private owner, but these are no longer available. Ideal situation would be a syndicate or private owner who wants to see a little more use out of their machine.

If anyone has any ideas or leads, please feel free to send them my way.

I also have a couple of turbines on my ticket, but I've a feeling these will be even harder to locate than a decent 44.

Have you tried Ridgeway Aviation at Oswestry? The SFH a jetranger at reasonable rates: www.helyhire.co.uk, they seem pretty close to you.

Thanks Cran, yes a lot closer to me, and somewhat closer to my original neck of the woods! Have made contact with them, only issue is that I do not have a 206 rating - although that is not an impossible issue to overcome.
