EC130 T2

Hi there,
Got a question on dual pilot operation on the EC130 T2. The a/c flight manual specifies a minimum of one crew in the left hand seat. Just wondering if there is any operation anywhere else where they operate with dual pilot, such as EMS and all. If there is any, how do you go about logging the hours?.
Thank you for your time. Good day!

Brother Sangay...if Your flying as a CoJo then it's 100% of the time logged under aeronautical experience. But only 50% under CoJo time but depends on BCAA rules for logging time? In some countries it's gotta be twin engine to log CoJo time. If Your under instruction by an approved Instructor then it's Dual-time for logging. If You are ICUS or have a Safety Pilot on board (so You gotta be approved as a single Pilot PIC on type) then You log as PIC 100%.

Cheers Big Ears

Sangay Hi, I was asked this question again the other day in Nepal. BCAA need to simply write a policy statement that says you guys are flying as a co-pilot for the x number of hours. The same situation here with the co-pilots, they fly, log experience and when they reach the required number, they do the full capacity checks and are then allowed up to 7000’. Then more PIc practice and other checks then up to 10,000’. After a few thousand hours and checks they get signed off up to Everest’s Base Camp at 17, and change. I wrote the criteria before and all that was needed was the BCAA endorsement to put the plan into place.

Co-pilot is only valid where co-pilot is "required".

flight time as a co‑pilot is any period, during flight in an aircraft that must be flown with a flight crew of at least 2 pilots, in which the person is performing co‑pilot duties other than as pilot in command under supervision.

Cool H130

Why is there a hovering limitation (5 min) when OAT > 35o C for winds from 45 to 135? Why is the inlet side of the Fenestron duct narrower than the outlet side?
Both questions are for H130.
Thanks

EC130 T2

Gentlemen (& ladies),
Why do we have a hover limitation of 5 mins in high OAT(>35) condition with winds from 45 to 135? Also why is the inlet side of the Fenestron duct narrower than the outlet side?
