Middle of the World - Photos from Malta
Pa got posted. We went from rainy and cold Leuchars in 1959 to Malta (on the good ship Devonshire out of Southampton). Came home to a freezing cold North Weald in 1963.
Malta? Best place we ever were (for me).

REDHILLPHIL - yes it sure is a nice place to live and work. Were you stationed at Pembroke? We have a crewhouse at Chambray Fort which I think was at one time a British Garrison

Flying over Valletta, Manuel Island on the left and Tigne Point in the middle ground. Tower in the distance is Portomaso, edge of the MIA CTR.

My MT-07. More fun than the B412.....I think. Certainly less instruments and switches.

Our Bell 412 getting its engines washed. A not so sunny day at MIA. Still in her Qatari registration. Now 9H-VGH as the first CAT helicopter on the Maltese register. Big, Brash but beautiful.

Trying to do a "VF" only at 8700 feet on Whistler Mountain. The start of the runs at Seventh Heaven. An awesome day of fast skiing and Jaegermeister!

Hey DB....No Brother; (Ithink) it has to be hosted on a site-that allows an open 24hr link to where the full data set of the picture is being stored on-line. That maybe/could be on Your own computer?
I use photobucket
Peace Broh

Hosting on your own site is the best way, but you will have to be prepared to re-size the image to meet PPRuNe requirements of 800 x 600.
Alternatively why not create a PPRuNe Album? That's what it has been set for, go to your User CP, Networks on the left side has 'Pictures & Albums', click and follow the bouncing ball. The peculiarity of the way it has been set up by IB requires the image to be approved by a moderator but once done it will be there in a decent size instead of the attachment process that you are using.

Great pics DB, just Amazing, I want to work there!
I know what you mean about the scan, I was flying a 139 for BHA for 4 years until the downturn an seniority hit.
Was hard to get back into a AS350 in my casual employ now with the steam gauges! and I've to a heap of hours in them but i didn't know where to look for awhile, its funny what you get accustomed to.
Im looking forward to your pics!.

REDHILLPHIL - yes it sure is a nice place to live and work. Were you stationed at Pembroke? We have a crewhouse at Chambray Fort which I think was at one time a British Garrison

Not quite sure what Pa did. He used to spend his days in a little place with some sort of radio/radar stuff near Dhingli cliffs. We lived in a hiring in Birkirkara.
