If you know the CG, weight and the position of the wheels, its a easy calculation to do.

I am sure Augusta Westland would give you this information if you asked them. I would not think it was classified information.

You'll have to ask Finnmeccanica soon. AW is no more. They are rebranding to the parent company. Eurocopter/Airbus/Airbus Helicopters must have made money out of it and now others think it is a good idea.

Information Letter received by Customers today confirmed it.

From a drawing found on google, if you not need the exakt numbers, calculated with CG on rotor mast
(weights, empty weight and MTOW from Wikipedia):

Nose Wheel = 2,7T - 3,75 T
Main gears = 3,9T - 5,4 T each.

Real values may differ a little, because of drawing precision and if helo is nose or tail heavy.

T = metric tonnes

Now go out and read the load rating on each tyre and add it up. You'll find it doesn't reach those numbers.

Took me a while to work out why...

Interesting. So, what, Finmeccanica Helicopters? Does this mean the product range will also be renamed, à la Airbus Helicopters' tortuous rebranding?

Let's see, the smallest member of the family is the PZL-Swidnik SW-4. Which has a minimum operating weight of 1100 kg.

So, FH-1100...?

Still waiting to hear what they do about the product range. All the email addresses change in a few days from .agustawestland to .finmecannica

I guess we'll learn if there are anymore changes in the New Year??
