Put your toy into a hangar, if it gets stormy...
Anyway, back to the thread, yet another avoidable incident.
Here's another avoidable incident from a while back:

Yes, it's always advisable to put your helicopter in a hangar, rather than leave it out where it might get damaged.

Nice one Art, of course in your eyes totally avoidable, after all we should have kept her in a hangar shouldn't we;
Attack on Police Helicopter- Woodvale
Silsoe Sid, so you are saying that was actually your helicopter?
That is a big coincidence but really quite funny; I simply put the two words "damaged helicopter" in Google search, out of interest. That picture came up third on the list of images, on the first page (try it).
So why did you not keep your helicopter in a hangar? Surely, criminals will always see them as a soft target. If they will even break into a locked hangar, as in your second example, surely leaving one out in the open at night is highly inadvisable! Do you see this as an "avoidable incident" too?
It rather puts petty criticism about the correct use of helilift in the shade.

Art, there's no need to make things up in order to refer to a different incident, just refer to it for goodness sake.
On that particular night, I believe that the the crew had just landed, refuelled and were in the office doing the paperwork prior to imminently deploying on another task, therefore hangared or not, in this case is totally irrelevant.
I'm glad that you find arson so funny; so on a more serious note, you might like to know there are some out there that are in the frame of mind that if POLA was in a hangar on that night, the outcome would have been a lot worse.
By the way, why do you think that air ambulance helicopters are left outside whenever they are on duty

Bit of a difference between a weather forecast and a security state

What is funny that you just can't help jumping in with both feet and giving away so much!
You say it is better to let arsonists set fire to an aircraft outside because it would more dangerous inside? What sort of obtuse logic you have!
Put your own house in order before criticising other professionals.
The security forecast is that police helicopters are always in danger from the criminal element.

Plenty of one liners there Art, you clearly didn't think before posting, I am impressed;

Come on guys, no one picked up the deliberate mistake yet? Clearly the experiment that shows that you only see what you want to when looking for a reply, worked

Sid, sorry for the delay, I had to deal with some local paramedics who called in here tonight.
But yes, you've done it again, I can recognise precisely who you are now. Your recent selfie looks just like the one in the force article about your unit, although you do look slightly better there, looks like make up was involved.
Didn't you search for "damaged helicopter" on Google? Your slightly scorched helicopter really is there, nothing made up.
Yes, I probably did spot your deliberate mistake. You mentioned the wrong registration (unless you let them set fire to G-POLA already). Don't lose any sleep over that.
Take care out there, mind your toes when you put the aircraft away for the night and don't forget, always have a fire engine handy when parked outside.
