The argument put forward by AH is to give the pilot the best profile to successfully return to the ground in the event of engine failure, because the actual trajectories are not very precise and depend quite a lot on the pilots. It is not linked to a particular aircraft as FloaterNorthWest said.
@November Mike: H160 MTOW is 6050kg, HOGE @MTOW ISA is 6700ft.

Folk, are we thus in agreement that the H160 is not a hot and high machine and better suited at sea level? It would appear from the comments on this forum that the helicopter is underpowered and severely limited when going into hot and high areas.
I am looking at operating the type at altitudes between 1000ft and 6500ft above sea level and then in temperatures ranging from 15 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius.
Any feedback please?

Airbus Helicopters H160 Australian Demonstration Tour
I became aware of a demo tour of a H160, VH-AH6, via a fairly extensive news item on Channel 10 news this evening. An item about the tour must have also appears on Channel 7, see:

The H160 is currently giving demos in Melbourne but seems it will also visit at least Canberra and Brisbane (though I would be surprised if it didn't visit Sydney as well!) during what was reported to be a three and a half week tour. I wonder if VH-AH6 is already earmarked for an Australian customer or whether it will continue conducting tours elsewhere in the world afterwards?
The AW139 is absolutely dominating the local EMS rotary wing market in Australia at the moment. I wonder if Airbus Helicopters will be able to make inroads into that market with the H160? Their Instagram pitch is at:
Update: The Channel 10 news item has since been shared on YouTube, or at least part of it. It came across as somewhat of a marketing item to me:

THC have (I think) 4x H160 in their fleet, most of which were bought to service minor royals and VIPs for their mega projects in KSA. These projects have been scaled back and thus the aircraft are no longer needed. THC are selling these via Rotortrade, their wholly owned brokerage firm.

For anyone wanting to catch up with the H160 in Australia, you can monitor its movements on Flight Radar 24 or similar. It just did a short flight from the Royal Melbourne hospital to Essendon airport. I haven't been able to find a schedule of its tour around Australia on-line anywhere as yet.
