Search & Rescue at Manston

With the closure of Manston (the last two flyable jets are rumoured to be leaving tomorrow) does anyone know whether Bristow will still be establishing a SAR base down that way as previously planned?

I appreciate that they don't necessarily have to have an active airfield to operate from - just curious...

They don't necessarily need an active airfield but they do need aircraft

There needs to be a law that stops people redeveloping airfields for other uses.
