Re-branding often works well after a spot of bother
So we should be seeing CHC and Eurocopters' rebranding out soon then...

But Senior Pilot that's why we have emergency beacons which will tell you where the cab is no need for a high viz paintjob..............

Most fixed wing are painted in sleek white which stands out so well.........NOT.

We know nothing we only fly the things

It has been proven in tests that dark coloured aircraft (blue or black) are easier to spot than white or red aircraft. That is one of the reasons, if not the only reason why RAF trainer aircraft such as the Hawk and Tucano changed their livery from red and white to black for safety reasons.

These are the guys that will be doing the Searching....and looking for the downed aircraft. Is there a message here for the Wallies that came up with the pretty blue and white paint scheme?

SASless, any reason you left out the Navy Seakings, or BP's Jigsaw Pumas...? If 21 people are safely in liferafts, then who care's what colour the helicopter is, red and black liferafts will be where the survivors are.

You can paint your helicopter lime green if you want, if it's night time for example, it's not going to make any difference.

And you can clearly see where the 3 orange stripes are on the underside of the 92.

High vis reflective tape was the norm at one time, offshore going 365's had it top and bottom.
Paint colour was not an issue.

Post Paint schemes

Bristow and CHC have their own corporate paint scheme, why should the the Avincis group be any different.

It is definitely better than the red scheme.

Just for Local info.. But one of these new Blue coloured beasts is already in ABZ in the form of the S92, not sure if its just here to fill in the gap of no EC225 or going to be permanent feature.

I have been told the S92 is helping out until it's needed elsewhere.
