Good evening and Namaste VF

It always wow's me and many others to see such Stark and magnificent views as you have posted in the last three or four re the lake and surrounds, but something struck me and I must ask you ,..

The native Nepalese men , women and children seem to figure well in many flights in your Helis, how do they react at being lifted off and then flown at great heights across their native land,.. are they good pax or do they need a talk before go time, or are they just overawed by the experience of being lifted and flown away. do you ever have a rear compartment person who sits and controls them ?

as ever your employment in that far away land is a wonder to us all, we take for granted many things in our lives, but you out there have to carefully plan and arrange everything before Go time.
my very best regards, Land Safe always.

Thumbs up

Namasté VF,

I'm new here !
I love mountains; I love flying... So I love your post!!
Please keep posting some nice photos & comments! Very interesting!
I'm very impressed with that kind of flying in high altitude, low power environment ... And the nepalese marginal vfr freaks me out!!
But Himalaya is so nice and people just awesome!
You just have another fan!
Fly safe...

Hello Mr Vertical Freedom, a theoretical question from a fellow country man expat who went abroad in search of adventure.........
If I was to find my self in KTM for a couple of days with lacking the supreme fitness to walk up the hills, would it be possible to go for a ride with you, and see and experience these things?
Paid in cash or XXXX or Vic bitter or what ever currency works there of course.
Cheers from a fellow aviation enthusiast

Red face blessed souls

Greetings VF,

One hears there's been lots of snow up your way. And many blessed souls who are not walking out on their own feet.

Hope you aren't too much distressed this last week.

best as always.

I like the reference to a rescue flight, then the items being rescued included spuds. What's the go with that mate?
Sorry we didn't catch up when you were in Sydney.

Hey dribbler
Brother - theoretically You could pay for a fantastical ride with XXXX or some other (better) beer, but; in reality hard cash is all that works

FullOn

Leading the quiet life here in Oz VF, trawl through 'Top of the world' when I need a fright, like a small child watching a scary movie. People walking into tail rotors & 4 souls departing this life enroute to care in your ride, too full on for me.

But hey noted your lament re YKAT on your August Oz visit. So it's for sale now, some gumen dept asking for 'expressions of interest'. Landed there once, twenty years ago, a one hundred hour wonder, caught out in low cloud I was. Katoomba air strip, my own personal 'Top of the world', that day was full on as well.

Love the shiny white helmet. Only swapped mine for a Bose active noise reduction headset recently because I'm half deaf & need to actually hear ATC. Stay safe, keep rescuing, keep posting.
