Airborne Fire Fighting - UK

I understand that PDG, BAS and Veritair and Pennine Helicopters have the capability for bambi bucket ops and IIRC about a decade ago there was a serious forest fire out in the south west/ south wales and on the news what looked like an AS-350 was being used with bambi bucket helping the local fire brigade and I think reently with a spate of serious fires around the countryside on the news, there was use of a helo though can't remember if it was up in Scotland or Yorkshire or around Berkshire whereby this took place.

I wonder with the scorching temperatures of this decade that at times rivalled the Meditteranean weather, whether there has been more than one instance of the local authorities calling on operators to assist in firefighting.

Cheers
