Congrats BelAir and Dancopter

According to Bel Airs homepage they just won the shuttle for Maersk Oil and Gas, 5 years + 3 in option.

The news about the big contract, transport from and to Esbjerg is yet to come.

"I am very proud on behalf of the Bel Air team to be given this contract. This award from Maersk Oil & Gas has tasked Bel Air with the provision of a shuttle service for 5 years with an additional 3 x 1 year extensions." [Edited]

More details would be welcome though!

Rumur has it, CHC lost the Maersk contract in Denmark. Bel Air continue with shuttle contract and Dancopter picked up the flights in and out of Esbjerg.

Congrats BelAir and Dancopter

So it looks like a new setup in the Danish offshore line-up, with (if all rumors are to be believed) Dancopter taking on the Mærsk crew change contract and BelAir taking the Shuttle contract for Mærsk. Good work BelAir who have been steadily on the rise recently and it looks like they are only getting bigger. The same goes for Dancopter, and this will be a big victory for them over CHC, and means that they will probably be looking at nice new shiny machines next year I guess.
A sad day for CHC though, although I guess not a real disappointment for CHC Management! I just hope the pilots are able to find employment with the two new operators. Good luck - it must be a bit of a tough time for them right now.
