Avonmouth Docks Bristol - RAF Helipad help

Hi,

On tuesday at 1700 I witnessed an RAF Merlin touching down on the pier at the enormous Avonmouth dock complex and witnessed the same event with a Chinook on Wednesday at a similar time.

I think that it must be used for tactical landings as both cabs didnt stay for longer than a couple of minutes.

I'm really keen to photo such an event so would appreciate any information that anyone has on these happenings!!

i must admit that I thought that it applied to both "sections" but as it was my first post I didnt want to upset anyone with duplicate postings!!!
