I fly an AS350D2 with the Sagem glass stuff in it. I have a number of issues with it. Main things are the number of ways that information is displayed.
Tape with the pointer fixed - airspeed and altitude
Fixed tape with moving pointer - fuel quantity, engine oil temp and pressure
Analog type guages - engine monitoring
A purple strip moving up and down a fixed tape - vertical speed
A bit of a bun fight to get used to. When I looked at the human performace and limitations syllabus it mentioned that this kind of display wasn't the best as it could cause confusion in the heat of the moment and I agree.
I fly an A109 and all of the engine and rotor information is displayed in the same way. Love it. Reduces work load and makes the instrument scan easier and faster.

There are also a number of other issues with the Sagem stuff but won't go into it now............

Synthetic Vision

GeorgeMandes:
Garmin gave us free synthetic vision, some months after our purchase as part of a product upgrade, and that information is wonderful flying in the mountains.
George, the synthetic vision would be a great back-up for night VFR flying. I have gone inadvertent IMC on several occasions flying HEMS. This would have helped a lot. As with everything else, there comes along an IPAD version. I don't know how safe it would be to follow in actual conditions, but it might be worth a look see. WingX Adds Synthetic Vision - Left Pedal

Maintenance costs higher on glass?.
If the panel goes down ? not just one gage.
There was a post regarding minimum Sagem repair cost if my memory still works
