Smile Flightplan records/record retention

hi to all;

Does anyone know how long ATC must keep flightplan records before they get shredded; based on ICAO rules? The FARs say 30 days... Thanks

While the FAA may shred flight plans, they can still get flight information off the flow computer in Washington. For an indefinite period. Plus they can and do use that information as evidence for violations.
