ABZ Engineers - are we going in tomorrow?
As we all know the last few days haven't been the best ...snow, lightning, etc. What are the thoughts on tomorrow ? Personally I think it's a waste of time going to work in the morning , afternoon will probably be better .

Hell No
I always check the full 'Met' from home before I leave if I think there is any doubt. There is no point struggling in and putting more cars on the road in poor weather when there is no chance that throwing rocks will get them flying. S&Q always seem happy enough to accept that I have done the daily from home!

Remote Daily Inspections
I would suggest that the security guards could be trained to carry a wireless camera with them to permit the duty engineer to conduct the DI from the comfort of his armchair with a hot cup of tea at hand!

Go on lads, you have to get in there, the drivers will need a hot cuppa tea if they can get in there, and some one will have to make it for them.....it's all about team work!
