Good times return....?
An upbeat thought.
Brent Crude is back up around $60 a barrel. Should we who want NS work and have spent 100 plus grand getting CPL/IR (man-size, not FAA) started getting a twitch in our shorts?

No!
SNS is all gas anyway. A few people due to retire from SNS bases very soon, but they're contractors anyway. Saying that, you could always get a type rating and ask for contract work, if you have any experience.
There might be a couple of S76 vacancies coming up soon at Humberside.

I gather you no longer want to be an FI then?
Bizarrely, perhaps, I actually WANT to be an instructor. No North Sea for me, thanks.
I know. The unsettled feeling. The motorbike. The desire to have weekends away on the beer, and an attraction to young women with mini-skirts. That's not a mid life, that's just normal.

I wouldn't hold your breath since the operators were last recruiting to satisfy demand at $150/bbl.
But don't take it from anonymous old me or anyone else on here. Pick up the phone ask the only people who know about recruitment - the operators themselves.
