Albatross was a good start, with

Debbie, a former blonde, attempts to push start the helicopte
SASless was close with

Awesome! You can hear the sea when you wear a headset!
but Svenestron has to be the winner with

Heartbroken at the sight of the big, gentle, stranded creature, Debbie began pushing it back out to sea.

After the recent increase in birdstrikes, the government has decided to invest heavily in bird-scaring technologies. They expect to have a working prototype by late 2018.

its “Oddie bin Laden” was that performs as a moving target at for the Taliban’s at their RPG shooting practice

or

“GWB” the dog was captured by the Taliban’s in Afghanistan and now he is used as a moving target at their RPG shooting practice

This experienced Rotor Hound was unhappy at being forced to fly a light single, even though he had been thrown a bone.

The US Army DARPA Representative reported there had been some unexpected test results that determined additional effort needed to be expended to sort out a few C3 issues with the new "Heat" sensing targetting system on the Bird Dog II aircraft.

The US Army and US Coast Guard let the dogs out in the anti-drug war...

or

The US Armys' new equal opportunity policy involves having guide dogs for visually impaired helicopter pilots...
