Helicopter crash near Scunthorpe
A pilot has been killed in a helicopter crash near Scunthorpe,
The aircraft came down close to Sandtoft air field near the M180 junction with the A18 outside Doncaster.
It was thought to have been travelling either to or from Leeds Bradford airport.
Both South Yorkshire and Humberside fire and rescue services are attending the scene.
sources say it was the pilot's first solo flight
