PIC or SIC?

If you have JAA Licence what is required to fly as Captain, Copilot or single pilot on a/c like SA365, B212, AW139, S76…?

What licence do you hold??

Depends what company you want to go to and depends if companies are looking pilots at this time.. Il make this short and let some of the other chaps on here give u a better answer.

North Sea for example (Left Seat): JAA CPL, IR and 200+ HRS
PDG Helicopters for Example: JAA CPL, IR and 1000+ HRS Turbine

Regarding captain, i believe you have to fly for the company for a few years before they upgrade you to commander!

I would have thought it simply a matter of the operator appointing a person to the particular capacity. Obviously there will be licensing aspects to meet (i.e. ATPL) for PIC of an operation requiring 2 pilot crew.

If you are operating multi-crew, you will need MCC qualification.

To operate Commercial Air Transport operations IFR with a Maximum Approved Seating Capacity of 9 or more, the aircraft must be two pilot and the commander must hold an ATPL(H) with IR.

This is a JAR OPS-3 requirement - if you are operating private category you could fly with a PPL!
