Thanks for that Dave,
masterpieces of the slide rule, and others get to rave about the rotorway exec, a piece of machinery aided and abetted by the calculating genius of the computer, and well put in the shade by these turnouts.

Haven't looked, but are there static and or flying examples around?

That would be a good project.

Being ex-Pussers I am impressed with their flight deck procedures.

Interesting footage, Dave. FL-282 (Coventry air museum) is a well engineered machine. There is also a Foche-Achgelis automotive kite of same era at Duxford.

Worlds first longline job only to discover you have attached the worst object to ever sling (an aircraft wing).

Anyone know the year(s) roughly, of the films?
The following will give the limits.

First flight - 8 Mar 1940.
Last flight - 23 May 1945

Fl262 & 282:

24 produced. 10 may not have flown.
First flight - 26 June 1936.
Last flight - 9 May 1945
