B412 Spares

I have got a lot of calls and emails from overseas from people looking for Bell 412 spares packages - probably 20 in the last 3 months

What's driving the demand all of a sudden ?

I think you will find not only the 412 is having a spares shortage but all the bigger SAR/EMS/Offshore twins (412,365,332,225,S-76,S-92) will be suffering the same short falls, all these machines are on about 2 years backorder for new machines and the manufactures are having trouble suppling parts for the new builds let alone the hundreds of older machines , now with increased flying rates round the world, I believe it will only get worse as the demand for offshore twins in particular increase and bigger operators will end up xmas treeing machines to keep others on line (particularly machines in heavy maintenance don't be suprised if your 3000hrly 412 service goes from 6 weeks to 12 or a 332 G check goes from 12 weeks to 18 all for lack of parts!

What's driving the demand all of a sudden ?

Isn't it that time of the year again? Parts brokers been calling you for military 412 spares? I usually get these calls in say the last week of April every year... but only 2 - 3 calls.
