If you work for Subaru I would stay away from helicopters for a while.

Question

If this was a EC135 I'm not aware of any transmission problems with this aircraft??

I'd have trouble believing that a Rally team Leader didn't know what transmission trouble was. So maybe EC do have a transmission problem, previously unknown?

I did my 135 ground school with David and would like to wish him and his wife the very best.

It does sound like he did very well, and I don't know of any issues or failures of the 135 transmission.

Glad to say I'm on leave at the moment!

there I was

I recall the last transmission failure I had. There I was, I was able to use the the frozen rotor as a wing since the airspeed was so high from the fall...I then wedged some pencils in the rocket pods and fired the rockets making an excellent JATO sysrem. I ended up being the first back at the club that night and bought drinks all around.

"and I don't know of any issues or failures of the 135 transmission"

Speak to your freindly engineer about Castrol Transmax Z oil and recent engineering service bulletins issued by Eurocopter to introduce reduced frequency main g/box SOAP sampling to detect possible gear tooth wear.
