Unusual landing spot spot in Monterey, California. Enstrom 480B.
Parked amongst the heavy iron @ KMRY.
Eastbound over the Sierra Nevada mountains @ ~11,000 MSL.
High Sierra. Mount Whitney in the background, highest mountain in the lower 48 states @ 14,505 feet (4,421m).
Fueling up in Lone Pine, CA. 108 degrees F (42C) @ 3,710ft.
Sand dunes west of Death Valley, CA.
Nearing Death Valley.
Death Valley. Lowest, Driest, Hottest area in North America. The far end of the 'white stuff' is Badwater Basin at -282ft MSL. It was 98 degrees F @ 3,000ft

All photos are from, my favorite, Enstrom piston and turbine helicopters--the finest most under-appreciated light helos in the world. All photos (see page 267) were taken from my Droid X cell phone and processed with Camera 360 HDR.
