Eastwell Manor near Ashford, just outside your time limit but the food could well make up for it! They dont charge for a landing either.

FYI for the Manoir, you might well land at a local farmer's and get taken to the restaurant by car. Not quite the 'land at lunch' scenario (if that's what you're looking for...)

Quite good scran though.

If she likes her fish...the Crab at Chieveley.

Very relaxed about helicopters. One of my personal favourites.

Had dinner at the Sir Charles a few weeks back (sans helicopter), was a bit disappointed, to be honest.

Pubs In Queensland to Stay

Drop in at the Aramac Hotel Queensland, only room for a 22/44 and about 35 meters from your room. SHare toilets and showers and good fans. Definately no fee there, i think you actually get to stay for nothing sometimes as the tourists like the idea. Just leave after 7 though otherwise the neighbors complain about waking up their chooks and pigs. Great steak too.

Thanks to those who recomended The French Horn Sonning; for a great lunch with HELIPAD.

For some reason my thread has disapeared so thanks again.

We had a fantastic meal and the owner Michael, was very helpfull and friendly.

Will definitley be back soon.

If you need to land near Bray, just use White Waltham, Fire Cover, Advisory ATC, security, fuel and the foods a damn sight better all for £10.

Some one will probably give you a lift as well

Thanks , went to the French Horn in Sonning instead great food.

But thanks anyway.

White Waltham

Advisory ATC
Are you sure it's not an Air/Ground service?

I read your comments, what needs an helipad? and how much it costs to make an helipad?

is there not a way to sue these hotels for abusive fees?

Iainms,

You are a glutton for punishment, flying up to watch The Toon!!

Newcastle Airport is a 10 minute taxi drive from St James Park and the Malmaison or Hilton in the City Centre are great hotels.

Out of city hotels which can accomodate helicopters are few and far between but I would give Linden Hall and Slaley Hall hotels a shout, both a half hour drive from our THEATRE that is St James Park.

Any more info you want then just drop me a post,

Good luck,

K77.

I'd use Samson at EGNT - reasonable rates if you're serious about overnight security...........
