Converting to an Australian Licence

Hi PPl

Can anyone advise the process for obtaining an Australian CPL(H) based on already having FAA and JAA licences (ATP & CPL respectively)..Plenty of flight hours on both, not converting fresh licences.

I used the search engine, but must have used the wrong words. I imagine it's been covered before?

Thanks in advance.

Rog.

From the research I have done.... I found that it is easier to convert your ATP than just a COM... So if you have the hours go get your ATP first. Of course when you go to Aus you have to meet their minimums of 1500hrs etc etc....

You will not be able to use your instrument rating until you do IREX exams and the flight test. But as for the ATP you just need to do a couple of exams.

I got my ATP for this very reason as I am heading back to Aus in a year or so.

If you find a good school or some information that is different please let me know.
