Sky Shuttle Helicopters

Hi there,

I saw your comment earlier that many applicants have been hired without IR or multi engine. If you only have CPL (H), do you think it is enough to get hired?

Phone contact or email

Hello to everybody,

could you help me to be in touch with someone of the HR or the chief pilot of Sky Shuttle Helicopter just to follow up my application.

Many thanks.

Cheers.

The address is on their website.

If you don΄t get a reply-they are not interested.

As of last week, they were not looking for Co-Pilots any longer.

Mmmmm ...

Sky Shuttle .... now what I am about to say is a bit second hand from a collegue who used to work there ... so I stand to be corrected as necessary.

They seem to have quite a high turnover of pilots ... seems that some people cannot take the (chinese) management style for very long.

They have now apparently learnt NOT to give away 139 type ratings ... and I understand through my 'old boy network' that the going rate from them is a US $100k (?) surity of some kind ... though I do not know how long it takes to work that off to zero.

Good luck to any that take the 'shilling'

So, they are hiring yet again.

Anybody working for them willing to share why such a high turnover?
Is it worth it for building some hrs anyway?
How about the salary and living there?

Low hours ......

Website proudly states pilots have an average of over 8000-hours flying.......would be interested to learn if that is still the case after recent turnover/lowtime recruitment.
I remember UKCAA investigating similar experience claims by U.K. Operators once upon a time - something to do with Trades Description Act and anti-fraud but don't suppose that should bother Macau ;-)

You might read "pilots" as meaning "Captains". In which case, average Captain experience of 8000 hrs would be about right.

One long term-Captain is retiring, a co-pilot is being upgraded to replace him, so there is a vacancy for one co-pilot. Hardly what I'd call a high turnover.
And extremely unlikely they would hire anybody without 139 time given there is only one co-pilot position to recruit. In the current employment market the days of them hiring R22 drivers and giving them a twin-TR and IR are long gone.

Have to disagree with you there gulliBell - where 'pilots' are concerned the crew if often differentiated by using the terms Captain and Pilot vacancies - for example please see CAS recruitment pages for EC155PILOTS Jockies.

It's irrelevant anyway - as I assume the website is meant for potential customers - not just for those in the know.
A customer will assume pilot = pilot and each has an average of 8000-hours - but again that's nebulous unless customer knows if that is high or low hours??
