Fixed wing pilot looking for experience

Hi guys,
I am a 500+hr ppl and I would like to know if there are any pilots within 100miles of Scarborough who want a cost sharing passenger who is looking into getting the "H" added to his licence Thanks in advance Pistongone.

errrr, what good is it going to do unless you can take control of the heli?

you arent allowed to take control unless you're with an instructor

Not sure that's strictly true but you're not allowed to log the hours unless with an instructor. It would probably have more to do with the insurance limitations of the helicopter!

However, there can still be things that can be learned, even just sitting in the passenger seat!

yeah. what i mean is flight schools take a very dim view of people touching the controls unless they are with an instructor

My post wasn't about taking control, although i did have six hours on an R22 and gave up as it was way too expensive. I was asking just from the point of someone going out on a jolly and having someone tag along and contributing to the cost Just to have the EXPERIENCE of flying in a chopper instead of the fixed wing stuff.
