I believe that's one of Midwestern's birds. You'll see them quite frequently in the Chicago/Milwaukee area.

Yes it is...worked on te Bugaboo Scrub fire with it, (or its sister ship). They are a few companies using S-58's here in the US--Tri-State Helicopters, McMahon Helicopters, Construction Helicopters--there are more I am sure.

My first post, happy to be part of the Rotor Head Community. PPL Piston and Turbine time.
This was my Bell 47G3B; I was verifying flight control input on a windy day, after performing an AD on the control Rods. The worst day of my flying time is when I sold it.

Some of the 212 and A119.

Nice day for a trip across the Canadian Rockies, repositioning for fires.

Wasn't me, didn't get on the Koala much this summer. Spent most of my time in Kelowna, Merritt, and Salmon Arm on the 212.

took a little while to heat up, but once it got going summer turned out to be kind of busy.

"Some seismic drilling with me and a 212 HP."

That looks familiar

Edit: fix your location, slacker.

Hi Trev

Might I suggest the use of a tripod. It will massively improve the quality of your vids...if that's what you're into.

My best

R44 hover at 1000fps

This is me hovering a R44 at YSBK. We shot it using a hi-speed Phantom HD digital camera system from Panavision which is where I work.

The picture looks a bit under exposed due to the high frame rate, but it was a full sunny summer day at about 1300hr's.

The camera will shoot up to 1500 fps at 720p or 1000 fps at 1080p. It makes the mundane look really cool!

Enjoy!

Another reminder on how to embed YouTube links

Copy the YouTube url after the "v=" part of the url, or alternatively the long string available in every YouTube page marked "embed"

Click on the YouTube button,

Paste the modified url between the middle set of brackets in the YouTube/YouTube

Submit your post.

Was this pilot forced to take off with a gun or sth? Check the glimps of TQ indicator during right turn.
