Helicopter Weight Categories?

Does anybody know what weight the light,medium and heavy helicopters are?

I donīt know if there is any official category.

However I have always considered.

Light = 1-2 ton class R-44, B206 etc.
Medium = 4 ton class SA365, B212 (5 ton) etc
Heavy = 9 ton class AS332, S92, Mi17 etc

European JAR ~ Very Light Rotorcraft (VLR). Mass does not exceed 600 Kg.
