Look to me like he was nose diving to get airspeed and flared too late. Hope he is OK.

Yikes! Kamakazee helicopters!? Ain't it amazin' when all the energy is used up converting the chopper to scrap the pilot often walks away? I've seen other shots of relatively intact machines where the energy was used in converting the occupants to scrap instead. Bring on the controlled crumple I say!

Roger on those localised gravitational anomolies guys. Have you ever noticed the repulsive effect around concrete helipads when you got an audience for your landing?

Hi, this accident happend 2002 in Czech republic. There was engine failure on CH-7 Kompress while raised turn (at approx. 40-50m agl). Injuries were not serious and pilot is ok now.
