Of course that still leaves us with a left-handed pilot...

Left Drive AS350

MD900 yes that is a left hand drive AS350B2. I flew for Temsco several years ago and flew most of the 350 fleet. About half of the B2's were left drive. Kinda strange the first couple of times you pick it up. I prefered it as the collective and fuel control were out of the way of the tourist. I had one woman drop here camera under the fuel control while flying a right drive and caught here just before she moved that little yellow handle out of the way so she could retrieve her camera!

Yes, the LongRanger was G-NEUF.

The pics were taken last summer. At that time, it was being operated by HeliAir at Wycombe for a private owner. I understand it was sold to Jensen Button and subsequently went to Scotland.

I wasn't given a key so maybe it was never found.

Bermuda to the Canary Islands, 45000 ft. Deep blue of space... it was in our Citation X not the Agusta 109.

Bellsux,

Must be pleased with the photo to post it on two threads, what were you doing up front, serving tea/coffee?

What was I doing up the front??? Having a pole of course! Then when it gets boring it's time to go back in the cabin watch a movie and dig into the bar and rack up a bill on the sat phone. It's all automatic and the only time it gets busy up front is when it is zooming through European airspace at mach 0.9, pilots get sore fingers from changing the frequencies. ( Hey... I don't do the tea and coffee, that's in your job description as a Bristows Coie Pohm1 )

We had a few of the CHC guys go up for a spin the other day but they never took advantage of the bar service.

From a recent summer(!) trip to the north

The little red ship was our home base

The ice often provided some beautiful scenery

We were supposed to land on the plains ahead - beneath the fog. Needless to say, a few seconds after this shot was taken we returned

Inland we spotted a lot of wildlife. These Musks stared at us like they had never seen a helicopter before

A walrus taking what looks to be a well-earned nap

The devil's breath

We were supposed to land on the plains ahead - beneath the fog.

Nice pics RD, although that fog shot chilled me to the bone more than all those ice snaps put together. We get fog in the valleys west of Sydney & it scares the living daylights out of me. I'm prepared to auto into trees or water on an engine failure, its the risk you have to accept with flying a chopper over those areas. But please God not over fog! Can you imagine descending into that murk? The loss of an horizon, no clues on when to flare, my own personal nightmare.

Its evil stuff. One trip west the goop below me started to rise with the heat of the day & I had to climb the R22 as fast as its little Lycomasuar 320 could carry it to escape the bloody ascending pooh. Maybe with global warming fog will die out some day? Think I'll go switch the aircon on!

Congrats on your flying opportunity near Santas place, what a great job you've got! But stay away from the devil's breath!

Hello heli pilots, was wondering if anyone has aerial shots of Melbourne CBD, Australia? What would also be interesting are shots from about 10 - 15 years ago, before it became so built up with apartment blocks. But any current ones would be most appreciated. Thanks!

California to Oshkosh (Bi-gosh!)

The link will take you to a series of photographs taken by a fellow who flew his Maule airplane to Oshkosh this year. Despite being a fixed wing cockpit...the views of this grand ol' country of mine are splendid.
