Helicopter problems in NATO exercise

Today an Canadian Sea King crashed into the waters north-west of the island Anholt in Kattegatt (Scandinavia). They struck the water close to their frigate and all 5 crew survived. The machine sunk to the bottom of the ocean 16 meters down.

A few days before that an american heli couldnt land on it's ship due to fog. They called swedish ARCC and declared an emergency and was instructed to land at a Swedish airforce base. The crew afterwards thanked the ARCC operator for saving their lives, so probably they didn't have to much fuel left when they landed.

just an update of what's been in the newspapers these last days.

best regards

RS
